EARTH DAY — Saturday, April 22, 9 a.m.-12 noon
The Moreland West NA is organizing a Neighborhood Litter Pick Up on April 22. The event is part of the Great American Litter Pick Up, and supported by BeautifySJ and SJ Vice Mayor Rosemary Kamei. This is a fun event for all ages, where volunteers work together to remove litter from every street and sidewalk in the neighborhood. Pick up supplies any time between 9-11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mossbrook Ave & Student Ln. RSVPs appreciated: morelandwestna@gmail.com.
This Earth Day, we also plan to hold a Neighborhood Plant Swap in front of the Moreland Community Garden. Bring plants or plant-related items (e.g. pots, gardening supplies, seeds, books) and leave with items of your choice. Arrive as close to 9 a.m. as possible. We’ll give people time to set out items and see what’s available. You can start selecting items at 9:30 a.m. What’s left after 11 a.m. will be available to whomever is interested.
We hope that many neighbors will participate in these community-building, community-beautifying activities! Questions? Email morelandwestna@gmail.com.
