Following the May 2021 MWNA session covering ‘Safety and Preparedness’, interested neighbors connected via Zoom on October 13 to better understand the requirements of the Neighborhood Watch program as facilitated by SJPD Crime Prevention Specialist, Marta Dominguez.
One of the key takeaways is to get to know neighbors and organize to report suspicious activity. A restricted communication channel such as an online group or distribution list is one option to organize. The MWNA is also considering a neighborhood block party in San Jose / Campbell in the first half of 2022. Stay tuned!
If you are interested in scheduling a Neighborhood Watch meeting for your block, contact Marta Dominguez, SJPD Crime Prevention Specialist, at Marta.Dominguez@sanjoseca.gov or email morelandwestna@gmail.com.
